Which games count
How recorded results become part of your Tayo Rating.
1. Recorded results
Eligible results recorded by club staff during open play or tournaments, or confirmed by both teams in the app, affect your Tayo Rating. A game needs to be completed with a recorded winner to be rated.
Singles results affect your singles rating; doubles results affect your doubles rating. The result, the two teams' ratings, and your rating reliability influence the change.
2. What does not count
Joining a session or checking in only reserves or records your place. Neither action changes your rating. Unrecorded games, drills, and clinics do not affect it either.
Disputed games do not count toward your rating until resolved. Games at an unsaved guest club remain unrated until the host saves the account. Session-only guest players are kept in session results rather than given a persistent rating.
3. Walk-in games and your account
Club staff may record games under a player profile before you create an account. Claim the matching profile to connect that history to your account rather than starting with a duplicate profile.
If games are missing or were recorded under another name, contact the club so it can check the record.
4. Why rating changes vary
A win does not always give the same increase. Opponent strength, the recorded score, and how certain the system is about your level affect the change. A winner-only result has less weight than a result with scores.
Repeat-match limits can reduce or cap a game's rating effect. Completing a game does not guarantee another full rating change.
